Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering, batch verification, COAs, shipping, and our research use policy.
Getting Started
A batch verification is a public audit trail showing the third-party test results for a specific production lot. Each lot receives a unique number. Enter it in our Batch Verify tool to instantly retrieve the full Certificate of Analysis, purity percentage, HPLC methodology, and expiration date.
Click 'Sign In' in the top navigation and select 'Create Account'. You'll complete a brief acknowledgment confirming that you are a licensed researcher and that products will be used for legitimate research purposes only. Account creation takes under two minutes.
An account is required to complete a purchase. This allows us to maintain accurate batch-to-order traceability, provide COA documentation with each order, and offer accurate order history and reorder support.
Products & Ordering
Orders are placed through the site and our team contacts you to settle payment directly — we accept ACH bank transfer and wire transfer, and institutional purchase orders on a pre-approved basis. Card checkout is being enabled shortly. For payment questions, contact support@pepterna.org.
Yes. Volume discounts apply automatically at checkout based on quantity per SKU: 4–6 vials saves 10%, 7–11 vials saves 15%, and 12+ vials saves 20%. No coupon code is required — pricing adjusts in your cart automatically.
Absolutely. Many of our customers are academic labs, CROs, and pharmaceutical research divisions. Institutional billing, purchase orders, and bulk pricing arrangements are available. Reach out via the Contact page for details.
Quality & Testing
All Pepterna peptides are specified at ≥99% purity. The exact purity measurement for each lot is documented in the corresponding COA. We do not release a batch if it tests below specification — it is discarded and reordered.
COAs are published on our public Quality Ledger within 14 days of batch receipt. You can search by lot number, browse by compound, or access the COA directly from your order history. All COAs are publicly accessible without login.
Yes — every batch is independently verified by an accredited third-party analytical laboratory using HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography). Results are never self-reported. Full Certificates of Analysis are published on our public Quality Ledger.
Primary verification is performed via reverse-phase HPLC with UV detection. For select compounds, we additionally use LC-MS/MS mass spectrometry for molecular identity confirmation and NMR for structural verification. The method used is specified on each COA.
All Pepterna peptides are synthesized and finished in GMP-certified facilities located in the United States. We source pharmaceutical-grade precursors and solvents domestically where possible. Manufacturing partners maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Shipping & Returns
Orders are processed within 48 hours and ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Lyophilized peptides ship at ambient temperature with desiccant packs. Cold-chain shipments (dry ice, 2–8°C) are available on request for sensitive compounds.
Yes — domestic orders over $250 ship free via standard ground. Expedited and cold-chain shipping options are available at checkout with carrier-calculated rates.
Due to the nature of research chemicals and strict chain-of-custody requirements, we do not accept returns of opened products. If you receive a damaged shipment, a product with a failed COA, or the wrong item, contact us within 7 days and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
Account & Billing
Log in and navigate to Account → Orders. Each order lists the items purchased with links to view the corresponding Certificate of Analysis for the batch included in your shipment. COAs remain accessible permanently for your records.
Research Use Only
All Pepterna products are sold exclusively for in vitro and in vivo laboratory research. They are not approved by the FDA or any regulatory body for human or veterinary use. Purchasing these products constitutes acknowledgment that they will be used only in a legitimate research context by qualified researchers.
No. These products are not intended for, and must not be used for, human or animal consumption, self-experimentation, or any therapeutic application. This is a firm condition of sale and is non-negotiable. Violation of our Research Use Policy may result in account termination.
Every order includes the Certificate of Analysis for the exact batch shipped, full chain-of-custody documentation, and research use disclaimers. COAs are also accessible permanently through your account order history.
Storage & Handling
Lyophilized peptides should be stored at -20°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. When stored properly, shelf life is approximately 2 years from date of manufacture. Refer to the COA for specific batch expiration dates and storage recommendations.
When stored under recommended conditions (-20°C, dry, protected from light), lyophilized peptides maintain specified purity for approximately 2 years. Reconstituted peptides have shorter stability windows and should be used according to laboratory protocols.
Legal & Compliance
Research peptides occupy different regulatory categories depending on jurisdiction. In the United States, most research peptides are legal to purchase for laboratory research purposes. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify applicable local, state, and national regulations before purchasing. Pepterna does not ship to jurisdictions where such products are prohibited.
